Developing people. We have focused heavily on education and people development over the last two years and that has resulted in record breaking growth for the channel at Toshiba TEC UK Imaging Systems Ltd.

Where do you see the next big opportunity?
I think our next generation of erasable toner devices will provide us and our dealers with a huge opportunity to offer something truly unique.

What would make your day job easier?
A worldwide ban on mobile devices!

What’s the best bit of business advice you’ve been given?
Manage actions and objectives, not numbers. And treat people how they want to be treated, not how you want to be treated – always be empathetic.

If you had had a crystal ball, would you have done anything differently?
Yes, I would have worked a lot harder at school.

Describe your most embarrassing moment.
When I was about 19, electrocuting myself (accidently) in an office full of telesales people, 90% of whom were female!

What was your fist job?
Hod Carrier… hard work but a lot of fun.

What would be your dream job?

An original Ford GT 40 at Le Mans or Bathurst in Australia.

Money’s not an issue, what’s your perfect car … and where would you like to drive it?

Fine dining and good wine, or curry and a pint?
Depends who with. I love both. Probably a curry and a beer though.

Favourite holiday destination.
Since having children, some of my best holidays have been in the UK, I love a good British family holiday in Cornwall or Wales.

How do you like to spend your spare time?
As a father of four boys under 14 ….. Anywhere that’s quiet!
