Alibaba Cloud has been named a Visionary in 2021 Gartner Magic Quadrant for Cloud Infrastructure and Platform Services (Magic Quadrant for CIPS). Alibaba Cloud moved further right and appeared as a Visionary for the first time.
According to Gartner: “The scope of the Magic Quadrant for CIPS includes Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and integrated Platform as a Service (PaaS) offerings.” The evaluation criteria cover a vendor’s ability to execute and the completeness of its vision. Under these criteria, the report analysed a provider’s product or service, market responsiveness, business model and innovation, among other metrics.
“Visionaries have an ambitious vision of the future and are making significant investments in the development of unique technologies,” according to Gartner.
