Boss calls for industry feedback on government support schemes

The British Office Supplies & Services Federation (BOSS) alongside their partner British Printing Industries Federation (BPIF), have called for industry feedback on the current experience of the Government’s Support Schemes and how companies are utilising them.

The approach being taken to manage both the economy and the public health crisis is very fast moving, and requires the industry to react and obtain research quickly in a rapidly changing situation.

BOSS conducted their last Business Impact Survey (https://tinyurl.com/y9urbmo2) during the period 23 March to 06 April 2020 which was open to all companies in the industry. The combined turnover of fully responding companies was over £3.1 billion in businesses employing more than 22,000 people.

The impact survey has enabled BOSS to hear about the impact on businesses, their employees and business plans – present and future to see where focus and lobbying efforts are required to help protect all those in our industry. This information, over the past few weeks has been fed into the Department for Business, Energy & Industrial Strategy (BEIS).

The previous findings showed unprecedented pressure as a direct impact of the COVID-19 crisis. These survey reports are vital in order for us to set out the very significant effects the crisis has taken so far on our industries, and the current effectiveness of government support actions.

It would be helpful for those filling in the survey to know about their organisations’ experiences with regard to the Job Retention Scheme and any loan scheme applications before answering the survey.

Due to the constantly evolving situation, it is key we feedback up-to-date information and would appreciate your time to complete our survey by 30th April. This survey should take no longer than 5-10 minutes:
