Canon Europe today announces the imageRUNNER C1530 Series, enabling partners to gain market share and boost profitability in today’s hybrid working reality. The imageRUNNER C1533iF and C1538iF A4 colour multifunctional devices are packed with tools for collaboration and can seamlessly integrate into several working environments from satellite hubs to small or medium sized offices, or as an integral part of a fleet of office devices.
Keypoint Intelligence predicts that in 2021 the new style of work will be a hybrid of home and office spaces. The imageRUNNER C1530 Series has been built to enable partners to meet new customer needs in these environments. With this launch, and with another upcoming addition to the imageRUNNER ADVANCE DX line-up soon to be announced, Canon is building on its award-winning A4 heritage to meet growing customer demands for smaller format devices. Alongside the unrivalled breadth of Canon’s A3 and A4 portfolio, these new products will help partners further strengthen their offering and create new avenues for revenue.
Simpler management
The imageRUNNER C1530 Series has been updated to enable customers to easily replace many parts directly, cutting service costs for partners and in turn helping to boost profits. The devices can also be sold to customers as part of a complete print management solution enabling simpler management, with native compatibility with Universal Print by Microsoft and Canon’s uniFLOW Online Express cloud-based solution as standard. Universal Print by Microsoft makes device set up and maintenance easier by moving print infrastructure to the cloud, eliminating the need for onsite driver management. Meanwhile, uniFLOW Online Express offers simple, centralised cloud-based print management, including control over costs, intelligent auditing, budgeting and reporting.
Supporting customers’ desire for collaboration
The workplace is evolving, and partners must now support customers who have distributed workforces. The C1530 Series meets this demand with cloud connectivity, enabled by a subscription to Canon’s cloud-based service, uniFLOW Online. The service allows the devices to connect to cloud-storage destinations such as Dropbox and OneDrive, meaning customers can easily store and share digitised documents. The uniFLOW Online ‘My Print Anywhere’ feature allows customers to securely access and release print jobs from any device connected to the cloud service; perfect for employees who spend their time between different working environments.
Driving workspace productivity
The C1530 Series helps customers to boost productivity with advanced, high speed scanning and simple usability. The devices can rapidly digitise paper documents with fast one-pass, double-sided scanning and smart scanning features, powered by Optical Character Recognition. The intuitive interface also saves customers time by making it easy for workers to find the functions they need. The timeline functionality means users can repeat previous settings at the touch of a button, instead of having to re-enter them for frequent jobs. These productivity features mean partners can meet the varying needs of departments with high document processing needs, such as HR and legal, generating further opportunities for revenue.
Secure in the new world
According to Keypoint Intelligence, the adoption of zero trust solutions will accelerate in 2021[3] so partners need to be confident their print devices can meet customer demands. The imageRUNNER C1530 Series offers inbuilt McAfee Embedded Control, in addition to Canon’s Verify System at Startup, which guards against advanced threats and data loss by blocking unauthorised applications. Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) support real-time threat detection and security incident response; while Secure Print and Encrypted PDF functions support users to protect document and data confidentiality with confidence.
