17 teams of golfers, all from businesses in Kent, Sussex and Surrey, headed to the Nevil golf club for the annual Newman Charity Golf Day. This years’ beneficiary was small local charity Taylor Made Dreams who help children with life limiting illnesses and their families get the support they need during their difficult journey.
Competitions throughout the event included nearest the pin in 2 shots, get on the green, nearest the pin on all par 3s, longest drive and yellow ball team and overall team. The day rounded off with a three course dinner and an auction which altogether raised £5,500 for the charity.
Newman Managing Director Andrew Deadman, said: “We were keen to support Taylor Made Dreams this year after hearing about the amazing work they do. We hoped that by holding a fun golf day it would raise awareness of the charity and raise some valuable funds.”
