Commercial has joined the UN Global Compact, a voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of responsible business practices.
Co-founder and Managing Director Simone Hindmarch, said: “Commercial is proud to join the UN Global Compact and the UN Global Compact UK Network. Our aim has long been to show how businesses can be a force for good in the world. In 2021, we have committed to the Science Based Target Initiative’s target of reducing our emissions alongside a requirement to keep global warming below 1.5 degrees. Joining the UN Global Compact is another very important step on our journey.”
Launched in 2000, the UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world. There are more than 12,000 companies and 3,500 non-business signatories based across 160 countries, and 69 Local Networks.
