CompTIA names new chairwoman

British technology entrepreneur, business owner and activist Tracy Pound, has been selected to serve as Chairwoman of the board of directors of CompTIA, the nonprofit association for the information technology (IT) industry. 

The Founder and Managing Director of Maximity in Birmingham, Pound is the first industry executive from Britain to chair the CompTIA board. She succeeds Gordon Pelosse, formerly an executive with Hewlett Packard Enterprise in Canada, who remains on the board as immediate past Chair. 

CompTIA also announced Scott Barlow, Vice President for Global MSP at Sophos, and Quy Nguyen, CEO of Allyance Communications Inc., will serve as Vice Chairs of the association’s board for 2021-22.
