Mobile label printer
BIXOLON has added the SPP-L310 3-inch (80mm) mid-range mobile label printer to its expanding mobile receipt and label printer portfolio.
Providing the perfect fit for mobile environments, the SPP-L310 OS embedded printer is fully compatible with market-leading programming languages including SLCS, BPL-Z BPL-C interchanging programme language without setting the mode. Optimised for field operations, the super compact, lightweight (385g) mobile printer is drop tested on concrete from 1.8m/6ft. with an IP54 protection rating. The mobile printer also comes with a high capacity rechargeable 7.4 Li-ion 2,600 mAh battery capable of providing 24-hour standby time once fully charged (Bluetooth model in power save mode). Alongside a two-year warranty as standard (6 months for the battery).
Enterprise-class cyber protection capabilities
Acronis has released a major update of its enterprise back-up solution Acronis Backup, introducing physical data shipping, cross-platform virtual machine conversion, protection from cryptomining malware, and localisation to seven additional languages.
The new update, which is free for existing Acronis Backup users with an active maintenance contract or subscription, also increases the number of devices that can be managed from a single management server to 8,000, allowing users to protect all data, applications and systems from an intuitive, easy-to-use web interface.
“This is by far the largest Acronis Backup update to date. We listened to our users and brought the features that they requested,” said Ronan Mc Curtin, VP Northern Europe.
The new update comes on the back of strong performance, the company achieved 20% YoY net billing growth in 2018, 160% cloud business growth, and 400 additional employees. That growth is set to accelerate throughout 2019.
Lightweight, compact design
Panasonic says its new portable LCD laser projector range has the smallest and lightest dimensions in its lumens’ class. The five new models weigh in at 7.2kg.
The range features 4,500-6,000 lumens brightness, enabling bright, sharp images with high colour accuracy. Both series deliver 20,000 hours of maintenance free operation, and feature a 1.6x zoom lens for short throw-distances, as well as a wide V/H lens-shift, making them ideal for use in small classrooms, meeting rooms and limited spaces.
Four of the models are compatible with DIGITAL LINK, for the simultaneous transmission of video, audio, and control signals through a single LAN cable across distances of up to 150 metres.
Versatility, performance and ease of use
Riello UPS has added three models to its Sentinel Dual UPS range. The SDU 4000, SDU 8000 TM and SDU 10000 TM are designed to handle high-density non-linear loads, making them ideal for protecting missioncritical IT networks and sever rooms, as well as electro-medical devices and industrial equipment.

New line of remanufactured colour inkjet cartridges
Ricoh’s own developed toners have been awarded a Smithers Pira Certificate of Conformity assuring EU food packaging legislation compliance. It applies to the Ricoh Pro C9200, Ricoh Pro C9100, Ricoh Pro C7200 and Ricoh Pro C7100 sheet-fed digital colour series (both four and five colour models).
Smithers Pira completed the migration testing and set-off tests on polypropylene 30 micron film that were applied with self-adhesive labels printed using Ricoh’s toner technology.
ECi releases MobileTech
ECi Software Solutions has announced the availability of MobileTech software, a new native mobile app for e-automate software users.
