Zoom Phone certified 

The Konftel 800 conference phone has been certified to work with Zoom Phone, Zoom’s cloud telephony solution. 

The flagship Konftel 800 audio device, fully tested to work on Zoom Phone, features high quality OmniSound with beamforming microphones and audio expansion capabilities. 

“The Konftel 800 is the first in our product range to be certified to work with Zoom Phone, which when paired together deliver a natural and fluent meeting experience,” said Product Manager, Torbjörn Karlsson. 

The Konftel 800 is a powerful flagship hybrid conference phone which, when paired with Zoom Phone, provides high quality audio communication across a multitude of room types.  In large spaces, smart microphone technology and the ability to daisy-chain units provide an extended audio pickup and listening range. 

Director of Global Sales Tommy Edlund, added: “Zoom Phone now has over two million seats across 47 countries and territories, doubling from one million to two million paid seats in less than nine months.” 



PPDS has partnered with Logitech to combine Logitech’s video conferencing and audio solutions with the dedicated Philips- branded corporate and education display ranges to offer extensive online meeting and collaboration capabilities for hybrid working and learning. 

Working together, PPDS and Logitech bring plug-and-play connectivity and validated compatibility and seamless integration between a range of collaboration-inspired Philips professional displays for both corporate and education settings and a range of Logitech products. Each is designed to meet specific needs and requirements based on the environments in which they will be used, whether at the desktop or a small office at home, a huddle space, vast boardroom, a classroom or lecture theatre. 


Recycled and recyclable 

Billed as a tangible manifestation of Acer’s commitment to more sustainable operations, the Acer Aspire Vero includes a significant proportion of PCR plastic in its chassis (30%) and keycaps (50%); recyclable packaging that doubles as a laptop stand; a waste-minimising design that makes it easy to disassemble, repair, upgrade and recycle the computer or components; and a commitment from Acer to offset the carbon produced in manufacturing/shipping by planting 100 trees for every device registered by customers. 

Other features of the Acer Aspire Vero include a 99% recyclable 15.6in display; Windows 11; Wi-Fi 6; a Type-C USB port and two Type-A USB ports; and Acer TrueHarmony and Acer PurifiedVoice with AI noise reduction for crystal-clear conference calls.


Email threat detection and remediation 

Barracuda Networks furthered its commitment to deliver leading email security solutions which are easy to buy, deploy, and use with the announcement of three new Email Protection plans which scale to meet customers’ evolving threat protection needs. Barracuda’s comprehensive solutions combine gateway and API- based AI technology to detect and remediate threats and reduce the risk that a malicious attack succeeds by immediately and automatically eliminating the user’s ability to view or launch flagged emails. 

Barracuda’s new email protection plans are immediately available to customers and partners at the following levels: Advanced: Email gateway defence, impersonation and phishing protection, and automated remediation. Premium: Everything in Advanced plus incident response, domain fraud protection and DNS filtering. Premium Plus: Everything in Premium plus data protection, archiving, and user security awareness training. 


Nessus for Raspberry Pi

Tenable has released Nessus v10.0 and extended supported platforms to include Raspberry Pi, allowing penetration testers, consultants, security teams and students to deploy the power of Nessus v10.0 anywhere. The latest release makes vulnerability assessments with Nessus even more simple, easy and intuitive. 

Large organisations can deploy Nessus on Raspberry Pi to remotely assess their smaller offices and off-site environments, consolidating assessment results back to, Tenable.ep or for prioritisation and response. 

What’s more, Nessus for Raspberry Pi lowers the barrier to entry for students interested in starting or furthering their cybersecurity careers. The ability to deploy Nessus Essentials for free on easily accessible hardware allows the next-generation of cybersecurity professionals to master their vulnerability assessment skills with minimal investment, regardless of their location.
