1 Apple iPhone While it’s definitely not bad at making phone calls, what I really value my iPhone for is its seamless tethering to my MacBook Pro. Through the use of welldeveloped apps, no matter where I am in the world, I’m able to communicate easily and efficiently through a number of different channels; including email, WhatsApp, text messages, Slack and even through the Salesforce app. That’s not the only reason I love my iPhone – it’s also very reliable – I can’t remember the last time I had a problem with it.
2 13″ MacBook Pro Where would I be without my MacBook Pro? It’s lightweight, has an exceptionally long battery life and a short charge cycle. Two things which are incredibly important in my life, given how much of my time I spend on the road visiting customers and going to meetings! It also connects seamlessly with the rest of my digital world. Without this, it would be nearly impossible to be both effective and efficient in my professional life. My MacBook does the hard work for me!
3 Microsoft Office 365 This is arguably the best communication and productivity suite of software available at the moment. It enables my job in a big way. Of course, as someone working in the cyber security industry, a key concern when I’m editing documents and contacting customers is security. Top of the list for me is ensuring that the software I’m using is bulletproof. When coupled with Barracuda’s email security suite and Microsoft’s multi-factor authentication, Office 365 is ultra secure and keeps me right on track when it comes to my workload.
4 Salesforce.com What did I do before Salesforce.com was invented? In terms of a CRM system, it’s definitely a market leader for a reason – it’s certainly the best one I’ve ever used. It keeps me focused, allowing for no distractions. On top of this, it gives me access to a massive amount of information quite simply with a few clicks of a button. A huge part of my job is keeping on top of hundreds of customers, who are spread across the country. Salesforce not only makes this a breeze, but it also shows me their related opportunities in various stages of the sales cycle and reminds me of what needs to be done next.
5 The Barracuda MSP team Finally, where would I be without the Barracuda MSP team? As cheesy as it sounds, I genuinely couldn’t and wouldn’t do this job without the fantastic team of people around me. They not only support me and coach me, but also provide leads and introductions through marketing events and customer engagements, which quite literally makes my job possible. When I’m on holiday or off sick, they cover for me. But most importantly… they entertain me when the going gets tough! I wouldn’t get anywhere without them.
