LogMeIn hires new CISO

Security and privacy veteran, Michael Oberlaender has joined LogMeIn as its new Chief Information Security Officer with responsibility for managing and growing the firm’s security programme, including infrastructure, applications and overall data security for both internal systems and the company’s suite of software products.

Oberlaender will oversee a global security team consisting of IT security, security operations, assurance, engagement, governance, risk management, compliance and more.

“Michael is an established information security leader with a proven track record of developing and leading corporate IT and information security programmes for global organisations. We are thrilled to have him join the team at LogMeIn,” said Chief Information Officer, Ian Pitt.
