We are seeing the trends in IT purchasing continuously changing, currently moving towards Cloud, Mobile, and Big Data and so on. We are focused to ensure we support our channel partners by ensuring we offer them the full lifecycle IT services.

While organisations are investing financially amongst other investments to secure their data centres and internal networks, they often fail to address vulnerabilities in their printing and imaging resources.

Print & supplies division

With the GDPR regulations coming in 2018, there has never been a better time for you to work with our dedicated Print & Supplies division at Ingram Micro which has seen a rapid transformation this year and in turn facilitated growth and increase in market share with key vendors HP Inc., Canon, Epson, Brother, Xerox and Kyocera.

Chris Connell, Vendor Director at Ingram Micro, will lead the division into 2018. Having over 20 years’ experience at Ingram Micro including the running of the Retail Sales Division for over 5 years, Chris is on-hand to help move your business forward whilst supporting partners.

Chris says “We recognise that the print landscape is evolving and there is no time like the present to work with us on this exciting journey. We understand as a distributor, that we need to change the way we work with our resellers to help them on that journey with the support of some of the top print industry vendors to support us. We believe that Ingram Micro now has one of the best distribution teams in place to support our customers for Print & Supplies”.

Recruiting experience

Having recently recruited Kerrie Spalding to lead the division for Chris, Kerrie brings over 20 years’ experience in the IT Channel and has returned to Ingram Micro after spending 7 years at Kyocera Document Solutions managing the distribution channel.

Target markets

Specifically targeting the document solutions market with more support for partners into the scan market and direct links with Ingram Micro’s already growing and successful Cloud & Advanced Solutions divisions, Chris and Kerrie have added more resources and focus onto scan, ensuring we are a strategic and proactive document management distributor for our partners. “All of our vendors are planning growth in the scanner side of their portfolios and we wish to maximise that for them with our ability to break into a wider breadth of customers” Chris Connell.

Future growth

With recruitment currently in place for an external Supplies Business Development Manager, Kerrie Spalding believes the additional resource and focus on the supplies market will enhance Ingram Micro’s credibility as a serious EOS distributor.

“By leveraging on our ever growing Pan European advantage of holding more stock than ever before as well as having the backing of the world’s largest logistics company for either direct shipment, pallet, carton, specific ordering; we believe this is an area we can really excel in next year”

Chris & Kerrie plan to continue their successful ‘go-to-market’ strategies for existing vendor led platforms such as Epson Print365 as well as maximising on new Ingram Micro led services such as HP as a Service which encompasses both print and PCs in a platform that is simple to use, quick and reseller friendly and makes putting together a HP solution for hardware, software, HP/IM services and resellers own services incredibly straightforward.
