First and foremost, and on behalf of all of our people at Midwich, we send our very best wishes to any of our partners who may be affected by the current Coronavirus outbreak.
During this unprecedented time our priority is to protect the health of our people, whilst maintaining excellent supply and the very best service levels to our customers and vendors.
It has been a busy time for us all and we have been working tirelessly to implement our many continuity measures.
I am pleased to say that we have successfully mobilised our teams. Approximately two-thirds of our people are already working from home with no disruption to service levels. From Friday 20th March, this will increase to around 99% of our staff.
Our offices in the UK & Ireland remain open with critical on-site functions and services being supported by smaller, local teams.
As part of our commitment to reduce the spread of the virus we have temporarily suspended visits and face-to-face events until we have confidence that it is safe to resume. In the meantime we are bridging this gap with the use of conferencing and collaboration solutions.
There is currently no impact on our warehouses which are open and providing normal service-levels.
We forecast stock many months in advance and we are currently maintaining good stock levels across key lines. Clearly, this is a rapidly shifting situation, and our team of account managers and specialists will work with you to find a suitable solution or alternative in the event of any delays. If you can provide as much notice as possible of your project requirement this will further ease the situation.
For the avoidance of doubt, Midwich are open for business. Our experienced teams are unwavering and continue to provide the very best supply and support. Most of us are now working from home but we are using the technologies that we know and sell to keep connected. We are here to support you.
Please do talk to us if there is anything that we can do to help you during this time.
Best wishes on behalf of Team Midwich.
