TD SYNNEX has taken another important step to reduce its carbon footprint in the UK with the Magna Park warehousing facility at Lutterworth switching to green energy from the start of the new financial year .
The change is significant as the warehouse facility is TD SYNNEX’s biggest location in the UK in terms of power consumption. It means that – along with the relocation of the Basingstoke office – more than 90% of the electricity consumed by TD SYNNEX in the UK from the beginning of this year will be coming from renewable sources. TD SYNNEX is in negotiation with the owners of its Bracknell location with the goal of converting to green energy there by the end of 2023.
In a separate development, TD SYNNEX has achieved ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality) and ISO 14001: 2015 (Environmental Management System) as part of an overall group recertification of its European Quality and Environmental Management System (QEMS). This now covers all four major UK sites – the offices in Basingstoke, Bracknell and Warrington, and the warehouse facilities at Magna Park.
