NEC Display Solutions Europe has announced a new product that places the company in the vanguard of a resolution revolution that will see ultra-high definition (UHD) available on smaller, more affordable displays.
The MultiSync V554Q 55” model is the latest addition to NEC’s portfolio of UHD displays which the firm says provides the ultimate in pixel-free viewing experiences. UHD has many advantages over Full HD, including greatly increased pixel density (3,840 x 2,160 against 1,920 x 1,080 for Full HD) as well as providing effortless readability from both long and short viewing distances. This makes the V554Q ideal for a range of applications including digital signage, meeting rooms and collaboration, technical and detailed presentations, CAD, conferencing and more.
As well as providing effortless UHD viewing, the new V554Q boasts the highest quality visuals over the course of the device’s lifetime, thanks to the integrated SpectraView engine, which ensures reliable colour reproduction and out-of-the-box calibration capabilities for easy set-up and ongoing management of visual parameters. The new display is also compatible with NEC’s Open Modular intelligence (OMi), enabling users to upgrade the power of their display at any time by seamlessly integrating one of NEC’s options for OPS Slot-in PCs, Raspberry Pi compute modules or signal interfaces for content feed and computing.
