Following the integration of its business into the Team Hell & Schulte (THS) Group, Parsia Managed Supplies Services is looking to grow the business significantly
Parsia has been supplying the channel with a full range of OEM and high quality compatible consumables and parts for 27 years. In April this year, THS, which has a sales and distribution network in more than 30 countries worldwide, acquired the business, a move that provides the UK operation with access to in-house technical support, a much wider product range – up to 2,500 SKUs, as well as software solutions.
UK Sales Manager Mike Dodge said that being part of the THS Group provides the company with a competitive advantage. The company is targeting 30 per cent growth this year. The bulk of its business to date has been in the compatible aftermarket, however Dodge said that the OEM business in Germany is significantly bigger and that Parsia is looking to emulate this success in the UK.
“In a competitive marketplace, we needed to expand our range of products and services. In particular, we see untapped potential within the MPS market,” said Dodge. The company now offers software and product solutions that enable resellers to continue to manage contractual devices in the field efficiently and economically, backed by expert technical support through THS.
“Furthermore, as an authorised distribution partner of FMAudit, we are well positioned to engage with MPS providers to offer individual concepts, server solutions and support facilities, as well as training and data security concepts,” he added.
The compatible aftermarket has attracted some negativity largely due to counterfeit cartridges from China entering the UK market. Parsia prides itself on supplying only the highest quality products. “We have built a superb reputation based on the consistent quality and great customer service we deliver,” Dodge said, adding: “THS is a long established independent business based in Germany with a high quality manufacturing reputation.”
THS has a comprehensive technical testing laboratory in Germany with 150 machines from many manufacturers which its engineers use for ensuring the highest quality standards are met before any products are taken into its range. “Every product from consumables to spare parts are subjected to continuous quality checks and go through rigorous testing in this facility. For our channel customers this provides them with the assurance that our modified original products provide a lower cost, highly efficient alternative to OEM products and come with the same warranty as an OEM-equivalent,” Dodge stated.
Easy to do business with Parsia has built up a strong customer base in the UK and currently supplies around 300 active dealers with original and OEM-equivalent toners and spare parts, the latter delivering up to 40 per cent savings. 95 per cent of products in stock can be delivered next-day.
“One of the advantages of joining THS was the investment it made in systems and machines. “We can now print bespoke labelling on all products and deliver directly to our customers’ end-user clients with both the packaging and delivery notes carrying the dealers’ logo,” Dodge explained.
Ordering is simple – customers can choose to order online for next-day delivery to the end customer, removing the requirement to hold stock and manage a warehousing facility. “Alternatively some of our customers choose to link in directly to our systems, so when their monitoring highlights consumables need replenishment, the order can be automatically placed and fulfilled,” he concluded.
