Welcome to the first issue of 2022 and a Happy New Year!

This issue is all about celebrating the successes within our industry. On December 7, we were delighted to host over 450 guests at the very first in-person PrintIT Awards evening held at the Royal Lancaster in London. You can find out more about the 2021 winners on page 22 and there’s also an event review on page 42. Congratulations to all of the winners and the companies who received a highly commended award.

We also feature part two of the annual print predictions feature (page 44). Some of the sector’s leading printer OEMs share their thoughts on what 2022 will hold for the print and IT sectors. Considering the year that has just passed, it’s unsurprising that security and hybrid working figure highly on the agenda. Despite the decline in print volumes, it’s good to know that opportunity knocks in terms of supporting customers in their digital transformation journeys, to address the challenges of the new ways of working and to deliver cloud-based services, billed on a recurring basis.

In this issue, Stewart Parkin, Chief Technology Officer, EMEA at Assured Data Protection, picks the work tools he uses every day and couldn’t do his job without (page 18). This month’s Q&A is with Jo Berry, co-owner of IT support and services provider Central, and PITR spent 60 seconds with David Jenkins, Founder & CEO,
