Cameron Smith, a 20-year veteran of the software solutions market has been appointed Head of Sales – ICT & Content Services at Kyocera. In an interview with PrintIT Reseller, Smith said that the OEM’s new Content Services offer is built on a partnership based approach and confirmed that one of his objectives is to ensure that the company supports its channel partners in delivering all of these services (page 16).

Canon has launched its first UK-based Canon Business Centre (CBC) in partnership with DMC Canotec. Canon UK’s Director of B2B Indirect Sales James Pittick, says that the launch of the UK’s first CBC continues Canon’s strategic commitment to investing in the channel, following the relaunch of its EMEA channel partner programme earlier this year. Pittick said that the move is a key part of the company’s reinvigorated focus on partners and growing its B2B channel business (page 20).

As 2018 draws to a close, PrintIT Reseller asked a panel of solutions and software vendors to reflect on the past year and share their thoughts on what may prevail in 2019 (page 36). And on page 43, the channel predicts the future of print and IT in 2019.
