New research explores the ethics of artificial intelligence (AI) (page 20). Nearly two-thirds of employers surveyed expect their companies to be using AI or advanced automation by 2022, but, they are lagging in discussions of the ethics around it. More than half of employers questioned said that their companies do not currently have a written policy on the ethical use of AI or bots, and 21 per cent expressed a definite concern that their companies could use AI in an unethical manner. This issue Print IT Reseller spoke to Paul Edwards, Managing Director of Wirral-based Print Logic, only to discover that seven years ago this magazine played a big part in getting the new business off the ground! (Page 26).

Alaris has launched its new INfuse smart connected scanning solution. The company says that bi-directional communication enabled by Alaris APIs is a game changer which places INfuse in a category by itself – a smart, connected scanning solution with IoT capabilities for today’s information capture market (page 34). Following on from last month’s VOX POP, the channel shares their views on charitable giving and creating strategic partnerships that benefit both the business and the charity (page 44). Anna Muskett, Channel Director EMEA, Alaris, picks the work tools she uses every day and couldn’t do her job without (page 18). This month’s Q&A is with Gary Day, Group Sales Director, Annodata and PITR spent 60 seconds with Bob Kalyan, Sales Director, iTS. If you’ve got any news about your business to share, would like to be included on our monthly VOX POP panel, have a compelling business success story or simply wish to comment on any industry issues,  please get in touch with us at: michelle@printitreseller.co.uk
