Our editors comment:

Barracuda has been very successful building momentum in the MSP market, particularly around security offerings. The company’s annualised recurring revenue for MSP security solutions increased 120% year over year, and the number of MSPs using multiple Barracuda solutions increased 34% year-over-year, as of February 2019. The firm has also grown its international MSP partner base by nearly 300% over the past two years. PITR caught up with Jason Howells, Director EMEA at Barracuda MSP to find out more about the company’s heritage, the secrets of its success and future plans (page 24).

On page 39, Paul Vogt, Channel Marketing Director at NiceLabel explores digital transformation in the labelling market, the channel’s role in this process, and how a transformed label management system can deliver tremendous benefit and revolutionise customers’ operations.

The Spiceworks 2019 State of Hardware-as-a-Service (HaaS) report which examined business adoption and perceptions
of HaaS, indicated that there will be a gradual transition
from traditional hardware leasing, where leased devices are managed in-house, to the HaaS model, where leased devices are managed by a hardware manufacturer or managed service provider (page 46).

With the report findings front of mind, PITR invited a panel of industry stalwarts to share their thoughts on HaaS and whether or not it is the next logical step for vendors in the battle to build long-term customer relationships (page 42).

This month’s Q&A is with Mark Bailey, Managing Director, EBM Managed Services and PITR spent 60 seconds with Michael Coulson, Managing Director and Founder of ManagedPrintCompare.com
