Spicers opted to use carbon balanced paper for the production of its 2020 catalogue. Utilising carbon balanced paper for the 2020 catalogue has enabled the wholesaler to offset carbon emissions of the paper used for the big book, enabling them to balance 179,643kg of carbon dioxide through the World Land Trust, which equates to 125,750m2 of critically threatened tropical forest.
Naheeda Howard, SPOT CSR Manager said: “Spicers is committed to creating positive social and sustainable action throughout our supply chain. Using carbon balanced paper is an important step in SPOT Group’s ambitious CSR journey.”
Spicers will continue to improve its environmental impact and strengthen its CSR strategy, with further developments on CO2 reduction expected in the coming months.
