Partnering with Mobile News Xpo

The partnership with Mobile News Xpo adds an exciting new dimension to Tech Live 2022, giving ICT resellers from the PrintIT Reseller and Technology Reseller communities a not-to-be- missed opportunity to engage with leading companies from the mobile communications sector, among them mobile device distributors, device lifecycle solutions providers, components and accessories suppliers, service & repair companies, airtime providers, insurance providers and mobile billing providers.

Ethan White, Director of event organiser Kingswood Tech Events, said: “Tech Live 2022’s partnership and co-location with Mobile News Xpo strengthens our core proposition, which is to bring together resellers looking to diversify their offering and vendors and service providers seeking new channel partners and new routes to market.

“Last year, we attracted hundreds of print and IT resellers/MSPs interested
in adding hosted telephony, unified communications and connectivity to their offerings. Mobile communications is obviously a big part of this, and having access to so many leading suppliers under one roof is another great reason for ICT channel professionals to visit Tech Live 2022 on September 13.

“For exhibitors, the presence of UK and international visitors from the mobile comms channel, many of whom will be looking to expand and diversify their own offerings, is a fantastic opportunity to build relationships with a new partner and vendor community.”

Mobile News Director Azad Kanani added: “The lines between the mobile industry and information and communications technology are becomingly increasingly blurred as these two sectors converge. So it’s logical for Mobile News to join with Technology Reseller to give a double-barrel blast to Tech Live exhibitors who will benefit from reaching Mobile News Xpo’s visitor base of device and accessory distributors, mobile resellers and other key providers.”

Why attend?

The ICT community has always valued the opportunity to meet up in person to build relationships, exchange ideas and find out about developments in the industry – and the inability to do so during the pandemic was a major frustration for vendors and resellers/ MSPs, despite the merits of digital alternatives.

For many, the opportunity for face-to-face engagement with peers and partners and the chance to catch up on developments in the ICT sector is all the incentive they need to attend Tech Live 2022.

There are also more strategic reasons why resellers/MSPs should attend that are all to do with the acceleration of digital transformation and the opportunities this presents to technology service providers and their customers.

There is nothing new about diversification – successful, ambitious channel businesses have always been on the look-out for new technologies, new partnerships, new procurement models – but it has greater urgency now.

Digital transformation, hybrid working, the move to the cloud, the evolving communications landscape (e.g. the ISDN switch-off, full fibre roll- out and 5G), the growth of managed services, everything-as-a-service, the cyber security threat, skills shortages, more stringent compliance requirements and sustainability are all changing the relationship between technology service providers and customers who are increasingly looking for a trusted partner to help them navigate these rapids.

Gaining additional expertise and expanding one’s product offering through investment, acquisitions or partnerships is becoming essential in order to meet changing customer needs.

In Barracuda’s The Evolving Landscape of the MSP Business Report 2022, 94% of the MSPs surveyed said they expect to expand their services portfolio with six new offerings this year, compared to four last year. The proportion of MSPs’ income from managed services is expected to rise from an average of 53% in 2021 to 63% in 2022.

These findings are supported by Ingram Micro Cloud’s The State of the MSPs Report – UK, in which 96% of MSPs surveyed said they had introduced new services in the last 12 months, with 72% planning to introduce even more to meet rising demand for managed services (experienced by 96% of respondents).

The pressure to diversify is also being felt by other technology providers whose needs are increasingly being addressed by distributors, vendors and MSPs that are all developing products and services for resellers to take to their customers, particularly in the in-demand areas of network security, endpoint security, network monitoring and management, end user security training, voice over IP and unified communications.

Tech Live 2022 brings together vendors and service providers from across the ICT spectrum who can help resellers/MSPs make the most of market opportunities, whatever stage they are at in their own evolution and whether their background is in print, comms, mobile comms or IT.
