From printers to multi-functional devices through to scanners, label printers and wide-format presses, here’s a round-up of some of the new product launches covered by PrintIT Reseller in 2017
To meet the growing demand for mobile printing solutions, Develop introduced its ineoPRINT app. Providing the administrator has given access to the mobile user to use the network, this app provides simple connection to the MFD, individuals can walk up to any ineo device, scan in the QR code displayed on the home screen and they are connected.
The ineo range also includes support for NFC (Near Field Communication). The systems’ NFC capability means a mobile device can be used to provide secure print release, replacing traditional authentication tools such as PIN numbers or card readers.
The Develop ineoPRINT app is free to download for the Android and Apple iOS operating systems.
Space-saving, cost-effective and efficient
Designed for the modern workspace, engineered for business and featuring PrecisionCore printhead technology, the Epson WF-3720DWF provides a range of flexible printing and scanning features. For printing on the go, there’s Wi-Fi connectivity to print from anywhere in the office; Wi-Fi Direct to print from compatible wireless devices without a Wi-Fi network; and NFC to print with a tap of a compatible Android device on the printer.
Combined with Epson’s DURABrite Ultra Ink, the WF-3720DWF produces professional looking documents that are water, smudge and highlighter resistant. The high yield inks are also great value as they’re supplied individually, so only the colour used is replaced.

Production print systems
Develop continues to offer the commercial digital print and in-house production sectors cutting-edge technology at cost-effective prices. UK distributor DSales UK launched the ineo+ 2060 and 2070 colour production print systems aimed at pay-for-print providers and the in-house print room market. Print speeds are up to 61 and 71 pages per minute respectively for colour or black and white output with a maximum input capacity of up to 7,500 sheets.
Professional label printers
Brother UK’s newest range of professional label printers – the QL-800 series, consists of three high-speed models each of which offers users versatile and professional label printing with the capability to print in two colours – a ‘first’ for printers in this class.
Brother identified several key markets for the new series, including office, facilities management, postage, retail and food preparation, as the printers support a range of applications from barcodes and shipping labels to visitor badges and address labels.
Low cost-per-page printing
Since launching in 2010, Epson’s EcoTank range which features an innovative ultrahigh-capacity ink tank system, filled by high-volume ink bottles has sold more than 15 million units worldwide.
The most recent additions to the range the ET-2600 and ET-2650 have a slimmed down design and smaller footprint, and come with enough ink to print up to 4,500 pages in black and 7,500 in colour. With an extremely low cost-per-page and much more printing between refills, the models present a cost-effective and efficient solution that could reduce a user’s printing costs by 74% on average.
