Q: How’s business; better or worse than 12 months ago? And how confident are you about the future? A: In terms of turnover, our business has decreased slightly mainly due to the managed print services part of our business being slower throughout the pandemic, however our IT and comms arms are trading well and continuing to grow. Overall, we are happy with the turnover being achieved and profitability remains strong, so I am very optimistic for this year.

Q: In what areas are you experiencing strongest demand?
Strongest demand is in IT and comms, however we are also now seeing significant improvement in our managed print services business as people re-enter the work space.

Q: How have you changed/are you changing business operations to exploit new opportunities?
We didn’t need to change our model as we have been an IT company for over 25 years and entered the comms space around three years ago. However over the last 18 months we have focused our business more in IT services and comms as these are the growth areas.

Q: What do you see as the biggest challenges facing channel
businesses today?
Our biggest challenge is getting stock, virtually all manufacturers of hardware are having issues due the shortage of semiconductors.

Q: Could vendors and distributors do more to help you overcome them? And if so, what?
With regards to vendors and distributors, I feel for them as they too are struggling to secure stock. Overall I think our supply chain is stretched, has a lack of stock and this has a knock-on effect to our business as we have many orders that we can’t yet deliver/install or invoice.

Q: If you could change one aspect of your job what would it be and why? A: Overall, I am happy with my job and wouldn’t really want to change anything, I love what I do and I am passionate about our company and the services we deliver to our customers throughout the UK.
